INNOVATION! It’s a word that we in the tech community just can’t get enough of. It doesn’t matter if an idea is good or bad, old or new, it can always fall back on being “innovative”.
That’s the beauty of the word, it means absolutely nothing. Plastic bag pacifiers, bleach contact lenses, velcro femidoms, these things are all innovations. That’s why marketers love to use the word so much, it’s also why tech companies end up throwing it around like a dingo with a baby.
